Reset WordPress Password

This tutorial will outline the steps needed to change your password if either it is lost, or you need to update it. You can watch the video here, or scroll down and follow the written steps:

If you have lost or forgotten your password, do the following:

1. Go to apic.org/wp-admin
2. Click on "Lost Password"
3. Enter your email address in the field and submit
4. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Be sure to check your "Other" folder if you do not see the email in your inbox. If no email is received, let IT know.
5. Follow the instructions to reset your password. Make sure your password is measured as "Strong" by WordPress. Use a combination of numbers, letters, and special characters.
6. Use your new password to log in to WordPress!

If you know your password, were given a temporary one, and need to update it, do the following:

1. Go to apic.org/wp-admin and log in.
2. Once logged in to the Dashboard, hover over where it says "Howdy . . ." and your name. Then click on "edit profile":
3. On the Profile page, scroll down to "Set your Password." Make sure it is a "strong" password.
4. Scroll to the bottom and click "Update Profile"
5. You can now log in with your new WordPress password!
